I'm Pradeep Gautam, a self-taught artist from Nepal, now painting in Austin, Texas. I paint the places and people that stay with me — Himalayan light, old temple squares, and the quiet bond between people and animals.
Pradeep Gautam's Nepal Series is a collection of original paintings of his homeland — its temple squares, towers, lakes and mountains. Several works were painted before the April 25, 2015 earthquake destroyed the very scenes they show, so the series preserves a Nepal that in part no longer exists.

Pradeep Gautam is a self-taught artist born and raised in Nepal and now based in Austin, Texas. Art is his lifelong passion: his paintings draw color and emotion from nature and from people — a Himalayan trail at rest, a mother's embrace, a horse mid-stride.
He works primarily in watercolor, oil and acrylic, across classical and contemporary subjects. His Nepal Series — painted from memory and from life before the 2015 earthquake — has become his signature body of work.
Pradeep accepts a small number of commissions — custom portraits, animal portraits, and landscapes from your photographs. You choose the size and the medium: watercolor, oil or acrylic.
Send the photo or idea, the size you'd like, and where it will hang. You'll get honest advice on what will paint well.
You receive a clear quote and timeline before any work begins — no surprises, no pressure.
Your original is painted by hand, shared with you for approval, then carefully packed and delivered.

The Nepal Series is Pradeep Gautam's signature collection of paintings of Nepal — Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Dharahara tower, Pashupatinath, Fewa Lake and Annapurna. Several were painted before the April 2015 earthquake destroyed the scenes they depict, making them a visual record of lost heritage.
