Pradeep Gautam is a self-taught artist best known for his exploration and lively depiction of nature, life, lifestyle and portrait into the canvas. Art is his passion, and his paintings extract colors and emotions from his inner being into the canvas. Both classical and modern contemporary paintings are his primary subjects of art discipline.
He primarily uses watercolor, oil and acrylic medium in his paintings. He was born and raised in Nepal and later immigrated to the United States, and is now based in Austin, Texas. He thinks that every person is an artist inside them — some do come out and some don't. He is one of them, and his biggest inspiration for art is mother nature and people.
His signature body of work is the Nepal Series — paintings of his homeland's temple squares, towers, lakes and mountains, several of them painted before the April 2015 earthquake destroyed the scenes they show.
